A Melbourne-based quaint bar and eatery serving South American flavours approached us with a blank canvas, and with the casual intent of creating a brand that celebrates Spanish cuisine & culture along with the warm familiarity of home.
We named the brand Onda borrowing the Spanish word for 'vibes'. The brand’s logo unit arrived out of the natural consequence of having four balanced letters to play with. The neatly stacked version forming a square grabbed our attention immediately for its sheer adaptability.
The menu design and store look was a natural progression of the vibrancy of the colour palette. We wanted to keep it simple and respectful to paper economy. We wanted the website to be free of the frills as well, a neatly stacked SEO friendly layout with a need to be on point.
